Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use this site?
You can (and should!) use this site to submit new feature requests for the Alexa Skills Kit. You can also use it to vote or comment on other ideas.

What happens after I submit my feature request?
Your request will be reviewed by an internal team at Amazon, and once published, other developers can vote and comment on it. The feedback on your feature request will be submitted to product teams periodically, who will determine where your idea can fit in their roadmaps.

How can I tell the status of my feature request?
Your feature request’s status will be updated throughout the request’s lifecycle. You can enable notifications in your Settings, too.

How does voting work?
You can vote for a feature request by clicking the “Vote” button next to each post. You can vote once per post. The number of votes will help communicate the feature request’s priority to Amazon.

Why hasn't my idea been implemented?
Though all suggestions will be acknowledged, we unfortunately cannot guarantee that all feature requests will be accepted.

If you implement my idea, do I own it?
Amazon does not accept any legal obligation (whether of confidentiality, compensation, return, or otherwise) with respect to any ideas, proposals, concepts, suggestions or materials submitted to us unless we agree to such obligations in a signed document. We reserve the right to implement similar ideas in the future without restriction or obligation.
