1. Provide HTML like styling to the card

   It would be a good if we can style our card in CSS way. Default search implementation like Yelp is doing it internally. We should be allowed that too. We should be allowed to design our image and content the way we want. we should be freely use margin, padding, color, font and other style too.

2. Add support for multi languages on the same phrase.

   Being a spanish speaker in US it's hard to ask Alexa to play your favorite spanish artist in Amazon Music. Things like: "Alexa, play Joaquin Sabina", are almost impossible today.

5. Echo Show Keyboard access for custom skill

7. Make Flash Briefings testable in test simulator

   Right now the Alexa test simulator tab (in both the old and new skill consoles) refuses to play Flash Briefings. This, combined with the fact that things like echosim.io also won't play Flash Briefings, means it's impossible to do a live test of the content your flash briefing is serving from an anonymous account.

9. Use dynamic entities with slot elicitation in order to refine choice

   I'd like to set a dynamic entity with specific answers, and then prompt for the slot with that type. This isn't possible because of this error:"No other directives are allowed to be specified with a Dialog directive. The following Directives were returned: [Dialog.UpdateDynamicEntities]"

   The use case is refining the customer's choice where lots of the choices have similar values. The dynamic entity is being used to distinguish between them.

10. Support APLA documents & directives for reprompts

    The new APLA Documents are great for providing rich audio responses at runtime to users.

    However, we are still stuck using the reprompt object in responses, and this can only contain PlainText or SSML.

    For a user who has just experienced an immersive experience but then hears a low-quality reprompt (especially when the audio element is used), this could seem disjoint.

    It would be great if we could use APLA documents in multimodal reprompts too :)

12. Increase the Dynamic Entities update limit for bigger intent slots updates

    When using dynamic entities (slots type whose values are updated through the Dynamic Entities API), there is a limit of 100 values, including synonyms. Over this limit, the update request is simply ignored.
    This limit is far not enough since it includes synonyms: if having 30 slots for instance, each slot having 10 synonyms, we already are over the limit (we have then 300 values to update).

    The skill I develop is a game where the user can interact with objects in the place or in his pockets. He often have near of 20 possible objects, and to make them easy to interact in a natural way, I have to propose lot of synonyms for each element (to ensure that he will reach the desired element however he choose to call it).

    Please increase this limit to much more (500 or 1000).

13. As a skill developer I want to switch between different apl versions on my own device

    As a skill developer, I have no way to reproduce a problem of an older APL version on my own device. I want to be able to choose which APL Runtime my device runs with to fix problems or to ensure better backward compatibility.

14. Simulator should allow simulation of multimodal skills on voice-only devices.

    The simulator only offers display-based devices to simulate, meaning that multimodal skills that behave differently for display vs non-display devices can't be tested. The "Device Display" menu should have an option for "No display".

15. Able to create custom dynamic slot type similar to Alexa's built in slot type

    When speaking with Alexa and specifying a clients name for search in our system. Alexa is able to pick up common English names like “Smith”, “John”....etc.

    Though as soon as you say something different like “Aitken”, “Hannam”, “Arundel”… It has a close to 0% chance of translating speech to the correct text spelling.

    If I load these unique names as slot values in the static interaction model json, it would work very well. However this model has a limit file size of 1.5MB. We have hundreds or millions of variations if we combine all the firms using our software. So likely this is not a good solution anyhow.

    The closest I've seen is the built-in slot types like AMAZON.Actors, AMAZON.Artists, AMAZON.FirstNames...etc.
    These models were pre-built and does not affect the file size. However we developers have no access to create our own.

    On top of that, it would be nice to have a dynamic mapping to the custom slot type. For example let's say we were able to create a slot type called [ClientNames]. We have 6,000 firms using our software, preferrably it would be better to create 6,000 [ClientNames] types. One for each firm, as the NLP processing would be more accurate and relevant to this client.

    So when a user speaks an utterance like 'Find client {clientName}'. Since our handler code knows the logged on user let's say with firmId of "100". We can pass it the slot type of [ClientNames:100] type. This will return names matching that specific slot type fot that firm.

    I'd imagine this feature would be very useful for a wide variety of search features for developers. As most searches are very domain specific, like looking up street names, businesses, specific fashion items, accessories range....and so on.

    Ideally it would be nice to have a built in slot type that doesn't affect JSON file limit, and a dynamic slot mapping feature where you can map the intent request to the right slot type.

    Eg, If I had slots like;
    ClientNamesFirm100
    ClientNamesFirm200
    ClientNamesFirm300

    On request, we can intercept the slot entry and map it to the relevant slot type to be translated into text.

16. Expose Calendar APIs in Alexa SDK

    Expose Calendar APIs in Alexa SDK. We are building a voice enabled assistant for real estate agents. We would like the skill SDK to expose calendar-related api's. We are assuming you must have such an API internally to abstract support for multiple calendar providers.

    We really like the built-in calendar support that is provided using your direct calendar linking feature. However, we can't use it. We chose to build our own calendar access into our skill to access google calendar API's programmatically, rather than using Alexa's built in calendar linking. The reasons we took this approach are:
    1) We integrate calendar appointment information with other data from backend system api calls into one intent. An example is our Start My Day intent, which summarizes, the real estate agent's appointments, then summarizes the number of active listings, # of pending closings, etc.
    2) We want consistency with our VUI. With direct calendar linking, they would simply speak to Alexa directly rather than using our invocation name. We don't want to frustrate the agent with a game of simon-says by forcing them to sometimes have to say the invocation name and sometimes not.

    The downside of our approach is as follows:
    1) As we add support for other calendars e.g. Outlook/Office 365, Apple, Amazon WorkMail we will have to implement a new api each time. If you exposed a single calendar API abstraction to the SDK then we could code it into our skill once and then let the right calendar get invoked based on what is linked.
    2) The built-in Echo Show display support for a direct-linked calendar is pretty compelling. We could not emulate that UI with previous versions of the SDK, for example we couldn't do that particular layout with the dates on the left column and scrolling text in the center with the highlight that follows the text as it is spoken. We could build all that ourselves with APL, but we would rather leverage the support that's already there than build it ourselves. if there were a way to hook into the calendar API through your SDK and let the built-in layout manager take care of the rendering and scrolling.

    Alternatively, if there were a way for our skill to delegate an utterance to the default alexa calendar processor, then our users could still use our invocation name for consistency's sake, but in our appointment handler if we could hand that off to Alexa for the calendar that's already linked directly that would be awesome.

17. Slow down Alexa's speech speed - Make Alexa more accessible

    I'd very much like my son (11 yrs) to be able to communicate w/Alexa.
    He's not an Eng as a mother tongue (native) speaker, as am I ;-)
    Regrettably, his command of the English lang is as a 3-4 yrs.
    I'd like that Alexa would:
    1) Speak A Lot (!) Slower?
    2) Reply A Lot (!) more accessible ("lower" English "level")?

18. Respond only to Administrator / Account Holder and/or delagated learnt voices

    Some people seem to enjoy annoying Alexa during parties, sometimes adverts on TV activate Alexa, and sometimes friends discussing their Alexa accidently get overheard.
    A simple, switchable security measure regulating who would be recognised would be nice to have, and even more if this would be part of the „Voice learning process“
    A switchable Administrator/Account Holder only, Household Members, and everyone would probably suffice.

19. Request time remaining on any device

    I can set a timer on device A. When I ask device B how much time is remaining, it tells me no timers are set. When the timer is ringing on device A, I can tell device B to stop, and it stops the timer on device A.

    I would like to be able to request the time remaining from any device, instead of having to address each timer individually on a per-device basis, but then have control over any timer from any device. This is inconsistent and has lead to frustration multiple times when I have to yell across the house to communicate with the device with which I originally set the timer.
