Integration with IVR over webrtc or SIP
Idea is to provide a communication channel between IVR services and Echo Device. IVR service providers will integrate with ALEXA and add their services as a skill, Alexa will initiate a VoIP call once Alexa user subscribes to IVR service hence providing a way for communication.

Setup contacts without a cell phone
My 84 year old Dad would make use of Alexa calling capabilities but does not have a cell phone, and therefore cannot receive a text to setup contacts. Without contacts his failing memory needs to remember phone numbers. He has an iPod with contacts yet this cannot be used because it's not tied to a cell number and we cannot use a text to email kind of function to setup contacts. Even a manual contact entry would be sufficent for the 10-12 numbers he calls regularly. Would be most helpful in emergency situations..Alexa, Call Jay. Am aware of "Ask My…

calling function (Alexa to most mobile and landline numbers at no additional cost) support in Japan
We would like to have the calling function (Alexa to most mobile and landline numbers at no additional cost) to support in Japan.
Since Echo devices are getting more popular, people who use echo device to call mobile and landline have become part of everyday life. Therefore, it will be very helpful if this feature is available in Japan.

Alexa phone line
Can a device with a phone line connector be made! It would give Alexa the option for connections when making a call and would make all my landlines phones defunct as I could answer via alexa

Allow a slot value to be defaulted
hi, here's my idea.....if you create an intent with slots...to allow short cuts, against a specific utterance, allow slots to be defaulted/hard coded.
imagine a service with a number of slots, in a number of common combinations, it becomes quite tedious to repeat yourself. So, allow an utterance to provide slot defaults. example:
you have a service :
"please boost the lounge heating at 20 degrees for 60 mins."
replace this with an utterance:
"Please make the lounge warmer {slot:zone = 1}{slot:temp = 20}{slot:duration = 60}
the stuff at the end sets the slots without the user having to say…

api for endpoint updates
create an API to allow the end point to be updated

API to set endpoint.
particularly when testing, the endpoint address may change...regularly. Testing using a service such as NGROK for example it likely to change when services go down. if the host could create the end point and call an API to set it up that would be just great.
thanks for considering.
