bluetooth "brief mode" turns off device connection notification off
having alexa blast "playing from <device name>" is very annoying and there is not setting to turn it off. I would like to propose that a setting be added or that "brief mode" would mute these bluetooth connection/playing notifications.
There is a question related here: https://www.amazonforum.com/s/question/0D54P00006zStJTSA0/how-do-i-stop-alexa-from-telling-me-its-connected-to-my-phone

I like the sound an my pc is connected all the times. When I do not play music and receive an email, the sound of it is followed by Alexa commenting that music is played. This is also annoying while making online calls.
I fixed the problem by installing the application developed by this guy (it's designed to work on Windows operating systems):
I think many have a problem with it. It is also difficult to define the fault. Alexa cannot be used as a Bluetooth speaker for a laptop.
please fix this
I see this as a bug that has to be addressed as soon as possible.
Like others, i really would like an option to turn this feature off. I have alexa connected via bluetooth to my laptop as a speaker and it is a real pain to constantly here it announce my computer name during conference calls etc. It makes the echo not usable as a bluetooth speaker and therefore not competitive in the marketplace.

this, please, either deactivate the voice notification altogether (I'd prefer this) or make it configurable.
I have a long laptop device name. Everytime I open my lappy, my Echo shouts "Connected to ----------- " and then when I start playing any music, it shouts " Playing from -------------" :(
This is very inconvenient .

Yes, this is now happening to me. It started about a week ago, and I can't turn it off. Currently, I have unplugged the Echo, until this can be resolved.

Please fix it, my Alexa is boxed out for more than three months now due to this so-called feature.

PLEASE OH PLEASE fix this incredibly irritating issue.

I'm sure you are aware of the issue as it's losing you customers. The announcement also cuts off whatever I'm listening to on amazon music and does not allow it to resume. Please fix.
