Widget to run routines
Have widgets to trigger custom or pre-made routines
Instead of saying "Alexa, turn on my lamp" and waking up my roommate, just tap a widget on my phone's home screen (or on Alexa's app home screen) to run this routine.
This to be a shortcut to open Alexa's app > menu > Routines > Run

i think this is an important addition from an accessibility perspective, as widgets are always visible on echo show 15 so it provides visual prompt for people living with mild cognitive impairment or who struggle with navigating menus, knowing what to say to alexa etc. eg, A widget linked to a routine to call your daughter, or to start a group call, or startup fire tv to certain input/channel/volume, or send a notification to family saying that you’re feeling a bit lonely, etc….i think this type of functionality would be appreciated by many families.

Yes! Voice commands are great especially when your busy or your hands are full. But sometimes tapping a button is more convenient, like if your relaxing and already have your phone in your hands anyway. At those times I often open up the alexa app to turn off lights and such rather than shouting a command. A button on my phones home screen for devices and routines would be so much better than navigating the app with several selections.
