Happy to just let Alexa deal with these sorts of requests like volume rather than have to add them to skill model.
Poor user experience for Alexa to say she can't do something as simple as changing the volume when outside of the skill she can do it perfectly fine. -

Hey, I am looking for the same thing. I built my first skill, but can not change volume of Alexa in my skill. Can anyone direct me please?
