Add "fast forward" and "rewind" to the skill that plays podcasts
If you begin a podcast on one device, then stop it there, move to a different device, it would be really great if you had the ability to resume exactly where you left off, as well as being able to fast forward or rewind in the podcast.

yes, please add seek-forward/rewind to the "AudioPlayer Interface" similar to the already existing NextIntent/PreviousIntent.
In opposite to next/prev intents the seeking could be done by alexa himself (because it streams the data from the url received from the audioplayer play directive).
Only an informative request like
AudioPlayer.PlaybackNearlyFinished, AudioPlayer.PlaybackStopped, ...
should be send to the skill to inform about the progress.Perhaps the forward/rewind could be additional automatically transformed into next/previous intent request if the end/start of the current stream was reached from these forward/rewind user requests.

This is actually something that is currently being done by my app, and also other apps like Anypod and "The Blind Side Podcast" skill.
However, the problem with all of these is that you have to do a full invocation, ie: "ask my skill to rewind 30 seconds".
It would be a lot better if it didn't require a full invocation, and so please vote on this idea:
