get certification feedback via API / webUI, not just email
I create Voice Apps for over 20 large clients and I publish Skills from each client's own Amazon Dev account. Either they authorize me as a developer on their accounts, or they share their credentials with me.
I usually develop & submit skills using the ASK CLI. Sometimes I use the webUI to run a prevalidation check & setup beta testing. In all cases, my skills pass the validation properly within the webUI. I wouldn't try to certify a skill unless they passed.
However, the current process of the main company contact receiving an email with the certification results in insufficient for my (and many other developers') needs.
Most of my client contacts are not the person who has access to the email address listed as the company contact.
This means I have to email each contact to ask them to forward me certification emails so I can fix any issues. This is a hassle for them, clogs up their inbox, and slows down my deployment process.
Even within my own company, I have to ask someone else to forward me certification emails, because even when I submit a skill - the email goes to another inbox (admin@). At a minimum, the email should go to the submitter & the company contact.
When a skill fails certification, it goes back to the development stage. However, there's no record of certification feedback online, in the webUI. This is a big oversight in my opinion. Why not include the information there? Why do I need to dig through email?
There's no way to get certification feedback via the ASK CLI. Why can't i submit something like a
ask api get-certification-feedback --skill-id amzn.foocommand to get the latest certification feedback for a skill?
It'd also be great to have access to the beta testing features via the API also. This would save me a TON of time.
Thanks for listening. I've deployed over 30 Voice Apps (flash briefings + custom skills for clients + my own via email@example.com), so I have a strong interest in improving tools / capabilities for myself and other Voice App developers.
