Bring Multi-Room support to AudioPlayer API streaming
Alexa Multi Room streaming does not appear to be available for third party skills that leverage the AudioPlayer API.
Feature request is to extend support for Multi Room to the AudioPlayer interface. This could be implemented by adding a custom slot type for the multi room location and then adding an optional parameter to the Play() command to allow the destination room group to be specified.
This has 37 likes and 19 comments as of Mar 2018 on this URL but doesn't show up on this feature forum - https://forums.developer.amazon.com/idea/101848/bring-multi-room-support-to-audioplayer-api-stream.html - so posting again.

I have Echo devices in every room in the house as well as outdoor sheds and a stereo system to play music from each of them on an "everywhere group". I use the Sirius XM skill to play everywhere at once and I do not understand why Amazon restricts doing the same thing with my own purchased music!

Stereo using Group would be good.

It doesn't look like one can specify an album name by a specific artist ("Play album Gold Collection by artist Lionel Hampton". Why would we want that? Because a lot of albums have the same name: "Gold Collection," "Greatest Hits," "Very Best of." You get the picture. There's a command to play a specific track by a specific artist, but nothing similar for albums.

This is one of the most used purposes of the many echo devices we own. This has been an ongoing need for quite a long time. Please develop and enable this feature asap.
Thanks. -

This is a basic capability that the Amazon entertainment infrastructure should have. What is the issue that makes this so difficult to do for third party apps?

Why is it THREE YEARS and this is still un supported? This is supposed to be a flagship part of owning multiple Alexas!!!

Can anybody from the Alexa team confirm if this is being worked on ? Or are the Echo devices just marketed at single-device per household use cases?

I love using my echo devices as a whole home audio solution, but the lack of third-party multi-room streaming support is starting to make me consider other alternatives. This seems like a reasonable thing to add with significant value-add, so why has it not gotten any attention from Amazon?

What's the issue here Amazon? Why the delay for something that should be simple to implement.

This feature request has taken 2nd place for \many years and still no progress. Why do we need this forum if Amazon ignores the developers'/users' opinions?

This seems such a basic thing and has been being asked for for ages. It would make such a difference and continue to elevate Alexa above other systems that are available. Not only would it be great for My Media but I'm guessing it may also solve the problem of multi-room with BBC Sounds. Please, Amazon, can 2022 be the year?! Thank you!

I enjoy Amazon Music playing Multi Room but would love to be able to play from my own collection as well. It's not an 'either or' but an 'and both'.
