Bring Multi-Room support to AudioPlayer API streaming
Alexa Multi Room streaming does not appear to be available for third party skills that leverage the AudioPlayer API.
Feature request is to extend support for Multi Room to the AudioPlayer interface. This could be implemented by adding a custom slot type for the multi room location and then adding an optional parameter to the Play() command to allow the destination room group to be specified.
This has 37 likes and 19 comments as of Mar 2018 on this URL but doesn't show up on this feature forum - https://forums.developer.amazon.com/idea/101848/bring-multi-room-support-to-audioplayer-api-stream.html - so posting again.

Thank you very much for your patience. Your comments and votes are greatly appreciated. While we cannot promise each feature request will be implemented our team reviews each request and sends them to the appropriate product teams.

Over 20 echo devices in my home. Over 5 years later, still no solution. I would switch to Google in a heartbeat IF the wake word wasn't "OK GOOGLE" and can't be changed... that's appalling.
It appears that I can now stream to multiple speakers in the assigned group for a ROOM. But I cannot specify a speaker group to play, for example, "everywhere".
So I commend you for the progress but... why did you stop there? Is there a licensing or patent infringement issue? Perhaps you should share that fact with us.
I use Plex to supplement streaming music services... I have hundreds of albums I enjoy that no streaming music service offers.
Thank you! -

Make us want to buy more Echos instead of Sonos! Enable multi room streaming for third party developers.

I find it interesting that a third party app, such as My Media for Alexa cannot use a multi-room access for playing music, but I can use a multi-room command when accessing music from Pandora. Pandora, to my way of think, is a third party, in cooperation with Amazon, but still a third party.
I believe adding API functionality/features can only enhance my Alexa devices, not take away. NOT allow a third party to created the best possible product should not be the mindset at Amazon. Granted, it will require Amazon to add the API functionality/feature, but isn't having an absolutely great product the goal?

I have seven Alexa devices in my home. It's frustrating that I'm not able to play music throughout my home from smaller skill developers!

I can't believe this is still outstanding>
i realise that failing to provide it gives Amazon a competitive advantage, but how about competing on quality and price?? -

Please add multiroom support for 3rd party Skills. It would make the echo speakers that much more functional.

I have multiple echo devices in my home and it only makes sense to open this API to access all these devices. Thanks

What's the point of having 5+ Amazon devices if we cannot use them. And I can no longer play the music that I bought on Amazon, on Alexa. Very bad customer service!

PLEASE! I've been waiting years for this. I have over 20 echo devices. I need to be able to do multiroom streaming from my Plex server. I don't want to switch to the G platform which will allow me to do this. Pretty pretty please!!!

Comon Amazon... get this done... This is a simple feature add and should have been a part of the plan to begin with...

Amazon needs to better support the users who want to use the music libraries containing files they bought from Amazon in the first place and which allowed Amazon to survive and grow to the company it is today. Instead, they are treating their long-time, power-user community like a used tissue. The most recent insult was forcing users to pay for Prime Music Unlimited or else be forced into a shuffle of "similar" music when we just want to play a single song. I'll pay for another music service before I will be strong-armed by Amazon in this manner. It's the principle of the thing.
