Function of volume leveling
I have created skill introduces steps to cook meals with voice.
I have a problem. A gap between guidance in my skill and alexa’s voice are so different.
But I can’t change volume of guidance, because they’re used in so many other platforms and they’re affected too.
Could you provide a function to adjust volume of media in video player and audio player?
That would be nice.Thanks!

I am not a developer, I stumbled across this while searching online for this very feature.
As a user, having different functions and skills have a settable volume would be of enormous value to me. My children listen to music on their Dots with the volume turned down - this also affects alarms, announcements, drop in, everything, making them near-useless for wake-calls, and difficult to use as intercoms.
As a user, please consider this request.

Despite volume leveling audio files in accordance with the official recommended guide, many users often like audio-based Skills to use a different volume level depending on the content, the user's environment, or the user's daily routine.
For an improved user experience, it would be great if a Skill could opt to intercept volume level requests, store the volume level as a user preference, and programmatically change the device's volume to the remembered level upon the next Skill launch. Alternatively, this could be a native feature which Alexa could handle without any involvement of third-party developers.

In regards to my previous post, use the levels references stated by Amazon (not -4 decibels) that was just an approximation.
However, you can record the audio from other flash briefings, then manually adjust their 'gain' in your software until it reaches the levels stated by Amazon ( -14 dB LUFS/LKFS ) as a reference.
