Add calendar to Flash Briefing
I find that the Flash briefing, although interesting, is missing a few features that exist on their own, but would be useful as part of a single thing.
Rather than having to ask "Alexa, Flash Breifing" or whatever routine you use to trigger it, and then having to ask "Alexa, whats up" or "Alexa, whats on my calendar" ... just have it as one thing. Something like:
I get the weather
I get the news
I get my days calendar read out
How that is not a thing I can't work out. Yes, there are other ways of getting that information. But why would it NOT be part of the thing that gives you information in the morning? "whats up" only gives you one entry from the calendar when it would be handy to know more.
So please, add the option to include calendars, reminders, to do lists in the flash briefing.
I was surprised i couldn't have all my calender's events read out. Instead just one.
This would be a great addition to the calendar feature.

I am surprised and disapointed that this isn't available.

100% agree. The calendar should be available as part of the flash briefing. Ideally, with the ability to configure how far ahead to look.
I agree, this is one of my biggest pet peeves having to say two different commands when they can be incorporated ("what's my flash briefing?" And "what's up?". I want to know what I added to my calendar withing my flash briefing for ease of use.

Totally agree. If i can already ask what's on today/this week, surely it would not be too hard for the developers to add it to the flash briefing.
An essential feature that should have been there from the beginning.
omg, my same requests! Makes sense to me! and I hate the word, flash briefing. it should be something easier. whats up for today alexa or something like that.

I just spent 20 minutes trying to figure out how to do this and was dismayed to find it’s not possible!? Tried to find the options as a “routine” and then as an addition to Flash briefing. As others have said, it seems an obvious thing to include.
It already can read your calendar so why on earth would you not be able to add that to your flash briefly or a start my day routine.

Need to have reminders included as well for that day.

This is absolutley absured not to have the Routines or the Flash Briefing not have access to the linked calendar, for the specific user.
My Alexa "Start my day" routine triggers :
◇ volume control 4
◇ run flash briefing
- today's forecast
- standard news
- biz news
- sports news.
◇ set volume 5
◇ Play Tunein local Radio station
I shod be able to put in a today's calander or this weeks calendar..
Either as a Routine option ◇ directly.. and or as a Flash briefing option. -
