  1. Please auto save! I've lost many edits on the older-version of this tool due to the lack of autosave. :)

  2. New i/f is neat. Thanks.
It would be good if you could add the link to CREATE a Lambda endpoint again (it was on the old console).

  3. Right now if you're building something on top of SMAPI you're not able to understand is your flash briefing popular or not without going to the UI.

  4. If I create a new Routine in the Amazon Alexa app on IOS Device I can currently only add the following actions:
    Smart Home, Traffic, Wether, News.
I would like to have a action which stops Alexa from playing any kind of music or other sound.
Background: You create the Routine "Goodby" which should turn off all HUE lights and it should stop the Radio(tuneIn on Alexa, or Spotify music). The feature of stopping Music is not available in the app. If I say "Alexa, Stop" the music is stopped. Why is that not available in the app?

  5. The VideoApp for the Echo Show only supports to play one video. Once this video is started the current skill looses control. Please add a queue to the VideoApp like the AudioPlayer already supports.

  6. Allow users to reorder items within a list ie; move an item up or down and allow sub-categories.
Also, provide a way to see all items on all lists and move an item to another list

  7. With many intents that share baseline handling intents (help, cancel, etc.) it would be nice to be able to define all these at a top level, and have specialized states cascade down. e.g. Define NewSession state with all the default handlers. In a new, specialized state, SpecialState, you only define those intents that are specific to that state, and any non defined events cascade down to NewSession state.

This would allow more simplified code, as well as the ability to better maintain consistency through out experience.

  10. When Fire TV interacts with Alexa popup is displayed on the TV with dialog conversation blocking TV screen. If my firetv app can respond to alexa command I would like to utilize TV for displaying app related information instead of that dialog

  11. The interaction model has two view - the old preview one and the new Beta preview one. They support different features and switching in between, deletes the changes made. The only reason why my team is still using the old preview, is because we can easily upload new and edit the old training. Would be great if this is also possible in the Beta preview, as to use the other new features available, like synonyms, dialogues, etc.

  12. Expanding the current implementation of Push would unlock a massive developer opportunity. Please allow devs to build and users to select skills that can speak without the user initiating the conversation. If a skill gets annoying they can turn it off.

  13. You can't use the API outside of a website with the current model. Ex: would like to run Lambda function to update a skill model and then submit for cert. You can't authenticate to use the API in this context.

  14. Alexa has enabled the disabled community, especially those paralyzed or with diseases such as ALS, to enjoy a level of freedom at a relatively low technical entry point. Out of the box, with very little configuration, these people can now reassume a level of control over relatively simple things in their lives which were not possible before. Something as simple as lights, music, television, temperature control or opening and closing doors. It has been an absolute life changer for my family.

The one drawback here is that if the internet goes down, Alexa is unable to fulfill requests. For something…

  16. When creating or editing a custom interaction model, it's very annoying to have to save and rebuild the model in order to test out changes. I understand building the model can take several minutes, but I often find myself forgetting to save before building and wondering why my changes aren't showing up on the device.

A better paradigm might be to just call the button "Save Model". On click, save changes immediately, start a build, and notify when the build is done. If clicked again before the build is done, cancel the running build (or just remove the notification from…

  17. Unfortunaly the AMAZON.Date slot is auto completed by the model with the year, even if the year is not specified by the user. e.g. "give me my trips from 15. August" returns in the slot something like 15.8.2018, but of cause the user did not specifiy the year, but the skill developer does simply not know that the year was not provided!

This could be solved, via some enhancement and would not break existing skils.

  18. Get the probability a slot was selected.

This would help an experienced developer implement a dialog to confirm with the user or to execute indent directly.

  19. When a Skill is running on an Echo Show device with a longer text, I want to tap on it to scroll down. When I do this, the Alexa voice stops and the Skill is closed after around 8 to 10 seconds. I also get send to the intro screen.

I would suggest a solution to just pause Alexas voice on the first tap and start it again on the second tap. This will be a much higher user experience.

  20. The current flash briefing content (per provider) is a 'one size fits all approach'. Everyone gets the same NPR briefing, for example.

There are many use-cases where user-specific information could be very powerful in the flash briefing, often in concert with interactive skills. Some examples:

    • A sport team skill that (in the flash briefing) reminds you of your game time this weekend (or of changes), without you ever having to touch a calendar

    • A retailer skill that (in a flash briefing) advises of significant deals, relevant to your buying history or explicit 'watch list'.

I think this would take flash…
