Enable and allow true push capabilities
Expanding the current implementation of Push would unlock a massive developer opportunity. Please allow devs to build and users to select skills that can speak without the user initiating the conversation. If a skill gets annoying they can turn it off.

remove the oauth requirement for SMAPI
You can't use the API outside of a website with the current model. Ex: would like to run Lambda function to update a skill model and then submit for cert. You can't authenticate to use the API in this context.

Alexa basic functions with something like Greengrass
Alexa has enabled the disabled community, especially those paralyzed or with diseases such as ALS, to enjoy a level of freedom at a relatively low technical entry point. Out of the box, with very little configuration, these people can now reassume a level of control over relatively simple things in their lives which were not possible before. Something as simple as lights, music, television, temperature control or opening and closing doors. It has been an absolute life changer for my family.
The one drawback here is that if the internet goes down, Alexa is unable to fulfill requests. For something…

Collapse "Save Model" and "Build Model" to a single paradigm
When creating or editing a custom interaction model, it's very annoying to have to save and rebuild the model in order to test out changes. I understand building the model can take several minutes, but I often find myself forgetting to save before building and wondering why my changes aren't showing up on the device.
A better paradigm might be to just call the button "Save Model". On click, save changes immediately, start a build, and notify when the build is done. If clicked again before the build is done, cancel the running build (or just remove the notification from…

Enhance AMAZON.Date slot to avoid issues with autocomplete of year, even if user did not specified it.
Unfortunaly the AMAZON.Date slot is auto completed by the model with the year, even if the year is not specified by the user. e.g. "give me my trips from 15. August" returns in the slot something like 15.8.2018, but of cause the user did not specifiy the year, but the skill developer does simply not know that the year was not provided!
This could be solved, via some enhancement and would not break existing skils.

Get the probability for a slot
Get the probability a slot was selected.
This would help an experienced developer implement a dialog to confirm with the user or to execute indent directly.

Restart Alexa voice after tapping the Echo Show screen
When a Skill is running on an Echo Show device with a longer text, I want to tap on it to scroll down. When I do this, the Alexa voice stops and the Skill is closed after around 8 to 10 seconds. I also get send to the intro screen.
I would suggest a solution to just pause Alexas voice on the first tap and start it again on the second tap. This will be a much higher user experience.

User-specific flash briefing content
The current flash briefing content (per provider) is a 'one size fits all approach'. Everyone gets the same NPR briefing, for example.
There are many use-cases where user-specific information could be very powerful in the flash briefing, often in concert with interactive skills. Some examples:
A sport team skill that (in the flash briefing) reminds you of your game time this weekend (or of changes), without you ever having to touch a calendar
A retailer skill that (in a flash briefing) advises of significant deals, relevant to your buying history or explicit 'watch list'.
I think this would take flash…

Payments
Right now, you won't allow us to text a link to a page that accepts donations. We work with lots of non-profits and political groups for whom a skill that enables users to say, "Donate" and just get a text to the donation page would be highly valuable.
