  1. Why have you hidden the Skill ID away onto the dashboard. When I'm updating to a new Lambda version and pasting in the endpoints, I then need to skill to set at lambda, which means I need to go to the dashboard page. Please make it available like it was on the old console.

Also, please please please, lets have some simple debugging logs and testing of execution for the Lambda.

Just a little test button next to the endpoint where it fires off something (discovery?) (SmartHome Skill) just to make sure it can execute the Lambda, between the permissions…

  3. There's no reason Flash Briefings should be confined to ports 80 and 443, as webservices can (and do) run on any almost any port. This restriction causes serious limitations for (among others) people trying to run multiple services on the same EC2 node.

  4. Unfortunately Alexa didn't react anymore to my sample utterances. I had to delete all of them and add them again manually

Thanks for pointing this out! We’ll get this routed over to the appropriate internal team for review.

  5. If you select 'Measure' for a live skill from the skill list, then go to the Launch tab, you can't edit anything unless you go back to the Measure tab, switch to Development stage and go to Launch again. A stage selection drop-down in the Launch tab would be more intuitive.

  6. Should be easier to return to the console from the details of a specific skill. Rather than (or in addition to) "Your Alexa Consoles", add a "Current Console" link that provides a one-click return to the current console.

  7. The "Save Model" and "Build Model" SHOULD allow you to click it without losing your intent position on the page. Same goes for the "Interaction Model" side menus.

  8. New i/f is neat. Thanks.
It would be good if you could add the link to CREATE a Lambda endpoint again (it was on the old console).

  9. Currently, it is difficult to determine between a non-display device, and a skill that simply isn't approved for display interface.

Per Paul Cutsinger: "For speed, certification will publish your skill for voice only then come back and enable the display once that's tested. So, spot will send this.event.context.System.device.supportedInterfaces.Display once the skill has been certified for that device."

Would be good to be able to check the status of this process somewhere.

  10. Measure data is not matching in new and old console.

In old console, unique customers are less but Sessions & utterances are more compared to new console.

I don't think it's not possible to have less users and more utterances.

  11. In the Launch tab of the new skills console, when you are working on language-specific metadata, there is a dialog that pops up if you haven't saved all of the information before navigating away. This flow does two things that it shouldn't do:

    1. The dialog will trigger if all you've done is click into a text box, even if you've made no change to that box.
    2. After resolving the dialog (discard or save), the page redirects you to the "privacy and compliance" sub-page, even if that's not the thing you clicked on to trigger the dialog in the first place.…

  12. Love it! So clean and consistant. One feedback on the left hand navigation. Make it scrollable so when we have lots of intents open we are able to see the right side of the page. Or better yet keep the right side of the page fixed and we can scroll the left hand navigation freely and open / collapse intents etc. Keep up the good work team! :-)

  13. With many intents that share baseline handling intents (help, cancel, etc.) it would be nice to be able to define all these at a top level, and have specialized states cascade down. e.g. Define NewSession state with all the default handlers. In a new, specialized state, SpecialState, you only define those intents that are specific to that state, and any non defined events cascade down to NewSession state.

This would allow more simplified code, as well as the ability to better maintain consistency through out experience.

  14. When Fire TV interacts with Alexa popup is displayed on the TV with dialog conversation blocking TV screen. If my firetv app can respond to alexa command I would like to utilize TV for displaying app related information instead of that dialog

  15. The interaction model has two view - the old preview one and the new Beta preview one. They support different features and switching in between, deletes the changes made. The only reason why my team is still using the old preview, is because we can easily upload new and edit the old training. Would be great if this is also possible in the Beta preview, as to use the other new features available, like synonyms, dialogues, etc.

  16. When creating or editing a custom interaction model, it's very annoying to have to save and rebuild the model in order to test out changes. I understand building the model can take several minutes, but I often find myself forgetting to save before building and wondering why my changes aren't showing up on the device.

A better paradigm might be to just call the button "Save Model". On click, save changes immediately, start a build, and notify when the build is done. If clicked again before the build is done, cancel the running build (or just remove the notification from…

  17. Right now, you won't allow us to text a link to a page that accepts donations. We work with lots of non-profits and political groups for whom a skill that enables users to say, "Donate" and just get a text to the donation page would be highly valuable.

  18. APL-A touts higher sample rates and uncompressed audio, but that only pertains to the input format. Any high quality audio file gets mixed down to an output format of mono 48 kbps, meaning that it is actually ultimately worse than the potentially stereo format possibly with the audio tag.

Please, at the very least, add stereo support for Mixer & Sequencer events, if not actually increasing the end output quality as promised.

  19. I have created a bot for myself where it does multiple tasks depending upon the routines conditions.

Now I want to dynamically invoke another skill from my current skill, this would have helped a lot.

Eg. I have a routine thats runs every morning at 7 AM. I want myself to configure which skill to run during this time. It should be changeable enough from the app side. So that every-time when my skill runs, I can setup some reminders or trigger a skill on alexa from my backend whatever is configured.

Basically i just want to invoke another skill…

  20. Amazon.DATE supports values such as previous/next month, week, day or year. It doesn't support date input such as next two months. Need support to specify the duration of previous/next request for Amazon.DATE.
