  2. Expanding the current implementation of Push would unlock a massive developer opportunity. Please allow devs to build and users to select skills that can speak without the user initiating the conversation. If a skill gets annoying they can turn it off.

    Thanks a lot for submitting this request. Your request has been recorded.

  3. Need two way video support using RTCSessionController to enable lot of skills, long with much needed Aira for Visually impaired. This is a much add feature and I hope low hanging for enabling accessibility using Aira.

  4. The Alexa Voice Profiles feature released recently is a great and awesome feature to have. Can you please have API for Alexa Voice Profiles so that we can use it in our Skills to perform a certain action based on the voice of the user and also customize response per user.

  5. Hi,

    As I was creating a custom skill to control the TV through IR, after saying "Alexa, turn on the tv" it goes to the smart home skill section and says"No smart devices are found in your account" so As I was asking about this in forum they said this always will happen for custom skill you need invocation and all but if this feature is implemented it will be best.

    You can have a checker or switcher which looks for smart home devices connection(In smart home skill) if none found it will search it in custom skill and after…

  6. I receive many requests from users who would like to be able to launch a skill to a remote device. For example, a customer in their living room may want to launch Rain Sounds in their child's bedroom by saying something like:

    Customer: "Alexa, send a command to the kids' bedroom"
    Alexa: "O.K. What command?"
    Customer: "Open Rain Sounds"
    [success chime]
    [LaunchRequest is sent to the Rain Sounds skill from the "kids' bedroom" device]

  7. Example Alexa show in the kitchen having menu for recipes. For the bedroom things that would replace a phone (port home phone to echo) or an alarm clock, or remote. Echo link not so easy to play music. It will attempt to play on all other echo devices before going to link.

  9. Enable developer access to the Show/Spot/Look camera for both taking a picture or capturing video - bonus: easy integration with AWS Rekognition in ASK would be ideal.

  10. Looking for a native way to send commands to my Windows PC so I can control my PC via Echo Dot. I asked the question on forum initially: https://forums.developer.amazon.com/questions/198845/my-windows-computer-to-act-as-alexa-gadget.html

    The first use case for the annoying issue would be to mute PC music (speakers) when Alexa wakes up...this way I can command her (else she hears other audio and doesn't understand).

    Other nice feature would be to turn on/off my monitors, control volume, start programs,...

  11. Currently, Suppressed or inactive skills remain in developer accounts and create Clutter.

    Allow for Developers to manage and maintain their developer accounts for organization and clarity.

    Additionally a suppressed skill in a developer account still shows as "LIVE" which is in accurate this should be adjusted immediately.

    • Suggestion

    Having a new flow in Alexa interaction:
    Prompt -> listen -> exit

    • Problem

    As you know, there are currently two main Alexa interaction flows:

    :tell - Prompt -> listen -> end session

    and

    :ask - Prompt -> listen -> reprompt -> listen -> end session

    This is quite sufficient, but sometimes there could be a use for a shorter interaction, where user is asked for something once. Alexa would listen for the response and if user says nothing it closes the session. This would be mostly useful at the end of the game, when asking user for some feedback,…

  12. Together with the JSON request, developers should be able to see if a user has 'brief mode' active or not.
    This gives the skill developer more insight into the user preferences and they can choose to shorten their skill responses.

  13. I would like to have an option to add custom information on the Echo Show or Spot home screen.

    For example, i developed a Webcam Skill and i want my Echo Show/Spot to show it without asking for.

  14. Allow developers to be able to define callbacks for user interruptions.

    At the moment, as soon as Alexa start responding to the user, he must listen to the full response or quit the app.
    There's no option to suppress current response and stay in the app.

    Consider an example:
    Alexa: I found three news articles related to your query. Article #1: [title of the article] Article #2: [title of the article] Article #3: [title of the article]

    Assume that the app allows the user to then listen to the full article. He needs to wait for the full message to…

  17. We already have Amazon Dash Wand. Why not miniaturized it into a wearable like a fitness tracker (without the barcode scanner) so that we can have a standalone wearable with built-in Alexa? That way we can talk to Alexa wherever we are as long it is connected to the internet via WiFi (just like the Amazon Dash Wand).

  18. Lets let Alexa for Business users assign a single skill which can be invoked via Echo button.

    These use cases are:

    * Retail for product display information
    * Museum Exhibits
    * Information Kiosks
    * Logistical scenarios where the Alexa device cannot be in physical contact with the end user.
    * Especially critical for high noise environments such as where many people are already speaking ie, inside a visitor center location.

    The device id already is distinguished inside the setup of AFB and skills can selectively supply information *as appropriate

  19. Request:
    Amazon to send a follow-up email to users who used a skill that invoked account linking option so that they can complete the account linking from an email link instead of just in the Alexa phone app.

    The current process is too disjointed. The user has to break off their voice session in order to fiddle about on the Alexa app. Conversion of account linking is terrible.

    With this request implemented the user would be reminded about account linking at a later date via their email and could complete it whilst in a mode that is more appropriate to…
